Semo Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Semo, an application for iPhone, iPad, and Mac provided by 46degrees LLC (“46degrees,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, purchasing, or using Semo, you agree to these Terms.

App Store Terms

Semo is licensed, not sold, to you. Your use of Semo is also subject to Apple’s applicable App Store terms, including Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If these Terms conflict with mandatory Apple terms, the Apple terms control to the extent of the conflict.

License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use Semo on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store usage rules.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of Semo except where applicable law expressly permits it.

Semo Pro and In-App Purchases

Some Semo features, including unlimited workbooks and folders, require the optional Semo Pro in-app purchase. Semo Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Prices and included features are shown in the app and the App Store at the time of purchase.

Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple’s payment terms, refund rules, and applicable usage rules. Apple, not 46degrees, handles payment processing and refund requests. Eligible purchases can be restored through Semo using the Apple Account associated with the purchase. Access may change if Apple refunds or revokes a purchase.

Acceptable Use

You may not misuse Semo, interfere with its operation, use it in violation of law, or attempt to bypass purchase or access controls.

Calculations and Results

Semo is a general-purpose notepad calculator. You are responsible for the expressions and notes you enter and for checking the resulting calculations. Blank lines and comments are not included in totals, and invalid expressions are excluded. Supported syntax, number formatting, and rounding can affect how a result is interpreted or displayed.

We do not guarantee that every calculation or displayed result will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your purpose. Verify inputs, results, and rounding before relying on them for an important decision. Semo does not provide financial, accounting, tax, legal, or other professional advice and should not be the sole basis for safety-critical or other high-risk decisions.

Your Workbooks and iCloud

You retain ownership of the notes, calculations, and other content you enter into Semo. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your workbooks to us.

Semo stores workbooks on your device and can synchronize them through your private iCloud account when that service is available and enabled. iCloud use is subject to Apple’s terms, account settings, storage limits, and service availability. Synchronization may be delayed or interrupted, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted syncing or recovery of deleted or lost data. Keep separate copies of information that is important to you.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how Semo handles local data, iCloud sync, purchases, and information you send directly to us for support.

Ownership

Semo, including its software, design, branding, and other app content, is owned by 46degrees or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights in the app to you.

Updates and Availability

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue Semo or a feature, subject to applicable law and Apple’s terms. We do not guarantee that Semo will remain compatible with every version of iOS, iPadOS, or macOS, or every Apple device.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Semo is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 46degrees and its members, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, business, or opportunity arising from your use of or inability to use Semo.

Our total liability for any claim relating to Semo will not exceed the amount you paid for Semo or its in-app purchases during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.

Termination

You may stop using Semo at any time. Your license terminates automatically if you materially violate these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability, will survive.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer protection rights that cannot be waived under the laws applicable to you.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post revised Terms on this page and update the date above. Your continued use of Semo after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
